On Friday, September 28 attend the 1st Annual Excellence in Construction & Individual Achievement Awards!

The 1st Annual Excellence in Construction Awards recognize and celebrate the achievements of the members of the Empire State Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Award winners will be recognized at a gala celebration to be held on Friday, September 28 at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino as part of the 2012 Inaugural Convention. The rules and categories closely follow the national standards to assure a seamless entry process of your projects and individual achievements on a state and national level. An entry in the State Awards does not automatically qualify you for entry in the National Awards and vice versa – each program has its own unique timelines and requirements. To be eligible for a National Award, your entry must finish first or second in the Empire State Awards.

This will be a black tie optional event and Awards Dinner. Reward your staff, bring your significant others, everyone is welcome. Dinner is included in the registration otherwise a separate ticket can be purchased. We are excited to see you there!

NCCER ASSESSMENTS
ABC IS OFFERING NCCER’S NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED INDUSTRY WRITTEN ASSESSMENTS

These written assessments are 2 hour exams (50-100 questions) that cover competencies and objectives of your desired trade, with immediate test results. They include but are not limited to the following crafts: Carpentry, Construction Technology, Electrical, Heavy Equipment Operator, & Masonry.

Assessment details: These assessment exams are provided by NCCER and the National Craft Assessment and Certification Program (NCACP) and are available at both entry level and journeyman level. NCCER also offers management assessments for experienced foremen, supervisors and a series of academic tests for secondary career and technical education. They’re based upon the NCCER Curriculum and have been developed in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts from the industry and Prov™, NCCER’s test development partner.

Benefits: Whether you have an apprentice program or not, NCCER National Industry Assessments are a great opportunity for owners and senior management to evaluate the knowledge and skills with” training recommendations” to guide future professional development of workforce. Assessment will provide senior management immediate score results with a detailed tool for continuous improvement. Training will help achieve higher quality construction with cost effectiveness to owners. It will give employees an industry recognized credentials to help build their career.
